Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling prior to making her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd built on this victory and then went on to a three-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in all the fights. Following that, she travelled to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen by unanimous decision. This put a stain on her record as an amateur. Ladd bounced back from her defeat to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her career in professional boxing. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her in the first round to win a TKO. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and won via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen employed her impressive wrestling skills to take down McGill and then ended the fight with a the third round TKO(elbows and punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd didn't weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round by TKO. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her final fight with the company. The winner was Sijara Ebanks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She defeated Lina by grounding and pounding her before prevailing by TKO during the second round. Her dominance continued and she scored a more impressive win when she fought Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd finished Evinger in the first round and got an outstanding performance bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first match she had in any major capacity. Both fighters fought one of the most competitive fights that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya after the third round at UFC in ESPN 7. Her most recent bout for the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight.
