Nancy O'Dell's first work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the instances. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with her Best Report of the year award for all South Carolina media. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. She then joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. In addition to her current role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and in addition to Dateline NBC. She has covered such events including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
