Ashley Monroe is a country music songwriter and vocalist born in America. Ashley Monroe formed a group called Pistol Annies, with Angaleena presley and Miranda Lambert in 2007, before releasing her second album, called Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe holds a position as Assistant Village manager for Riverside Illinois. She has 15 years of experience within the public sector which includes nearly five year time in Iowa City. She is currently the Assistant Village manager and is responsible for a range of duties, including managing the Community Development and Building Department as well as overseeing grant applications and other special initiatives. Ashley is involved in the day-to-day running of Riverside's services as well as implementing the community's elected officials' visions. Ashley's previous roles included the planning of municipal services, public communications and budgeting. She also managed personnel and collective negotiations. She also focused on climate action. Ashley's participation in the national organization, as well as her working with different communities population sizes has provided her with insights into the various differences and commonalities between the ways in which various public agencies operate.
